On Saturday May 20th,  LVC 15Black assisted in a great cause at Tonawanda High School.  Teammates volunteered at the annual Erie County Special Olympics track and field meet.  The volleyball athletes spent the day recording times for running events as well as measuring distances at the running long jump pit, shot put toss and softball throw.  They also were there to hand out ribbons for the participants and give much appreciated high fives.  The prior evening, some members spent time setting up tents for these special athletes to relax under on Saturday. They all talked about what a fun and rewarding day it was for them and look forward to helping again next year.  Team members who participated were Zach Ciraolo, Josh Roy, Josh Weissert, Matt Sausen, Ethan Godfrey, Andrew Schlabach, Tom Shemik, Brett Shickluna, Nate Wojcinski and Luke Mistretta.
